So, you’ve decided to come visit us in Melbourne?
(Technically we live outside of the city of Melbourne. Melbourne is a city in the state of Victoria so actually you are flying to Victoria. But you get what we mean. Same same, but different.)

What can you do in Victoria?
EXPLORE OUTSIDE THE CITY. You can do a variation of the following in most places in Australia:
Indulge in plays or musicals
There are shows all-year round. Check what’s available on your travel dates. Theatres are usually in the CBD.
Visit museums
The NGV is a big one, but there will be a few other museums in regional towns.
Shop for fresh fruits and seafood
There are markets everywhere for you to eat seasonal fruits and fresh seafood like oysters, salmon, tuna, or sea urchin.
Go to the beach, catch a fish, ride the waves
There are beaches for swimming, for surfing, for fishing, and for walking dogs. It can be an hour or less away, or go further on a day trip.
Explore regional towns
Towns outside of Melbourne city are fun to visit because they’ve kept most of the charm of the “olden times”.
Have an aussie coffee and brekkie
Cafe culture is strong in Melbourne. Grab a cuppa coffee, or tea if that’s your thing. Splurge and get avocado on toast, too.
We’ve got all you need to know to plan a trip to Melbourne
